The Not-So-Perfect Holographic Butterflies

In September 2022, we launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Butterfly Playing Cards Worker Edition. After making several color variants available, we added one more: a very special deck. The Butterfly deck that everyone seemed to be asking for.

Butterfly Playing Cards Holo Edition!

This unique Butterfly deck features an all-black design with a black border. The back and front use no color. Instead, they are covered in holographic foil! To complete the overall aesthetic, the cards have a matte black finish. The finish ensures a seamless transition from the back to the front and makes the holographic foil stand out even more.

But why are these called “Seconden”?

The first print run wasn’t quite what we wanted. Because we always strive for the best product, we reprinted them.

This is a great choice if you want a beautiful holographic deck to play with, for card tricks, or just to have fun with.

We’ve made these easy to distinguish from the standard edition. The “Seconden” have no seal and feature a reversed back design on the back of the storage box.

We printed these with WJPC on thick 330gsm paper to prevent the foil from showing through to the other side of the card.

Each deck contains one blank card and one double-backed card. Limited edition of 2,000 decks.
