Checkpoint – is a casual trick involving tearing up and restoring a receipt.

“Uh laat me iets zien!?” – a common situation in a magician’s life.

During these moments, simple magic tricks like “kiezen van de kaart” shouldn’t be performed.
The magician wants to feel like Dinamo or David Blaine, creating magical improvisations with everyday objects.
We all know that the best improvisation is a prepared performance.

Checkpoint is a prepared improvisation created by “Creators P” (Evgeny Gorlanov and Arseny Tsaran)

They were inspired by the principle of Dan Harlan and Shawn Farquhar and created their own routine:

A spectator signs the receipt and then tears it up together with the magician.
Afterward, the receipt is restored, but in the wrong order.
The magician presents that extraordinary signed receipt to the spectator as a souvenir.
