Perhaps one of the BEST storytelling card tricks EVER created!
Spin a yarn like this…
Imagine you’re at a casino one evening with a few bucks to spare for your ride home. You ask a random guy at the bar if he wants to play a game of poker—winner takes all?
The man accepts, shuffles the cards, and deals five cards to each of you. You notice he only has FOUR cards, so you tell him he needs FIVE. He produces a Five of Hearts. You explain that he needs FIVE cards, and when you ask how many cards he has left, he counts FOUR.
You say again that he needs FIVE, and this time he produces the Five of Clubs. You ask him to count how many cards he has in his hand, and he still has FOUR, along with the TWO on the table, which makes SIX cards!
You gently tell him that this is a poker game and that you only get FIVE cards, not THREE, FOUR, or SIX! He tosses the cards in his hand and now has THREE cards, plus the TWO on the table, so FIVE in total… phew, finally!
You check your cards and have two tens and three aces! You know you have the winning hand. You tell the man about your hand, to which he replies that he has won. Quite confused, you tell him that his counting skills are terrible, that his knowledge of poker is terrible, and that you’re not sure if he should even be playing poker?!
With that said, and a quick flick of the wrist, the man spells out the letters P.O.K.E.R. with the cards. You cough up the money and leave with your tail between your legs.
