João Miranda and his team had a bold idea: a version of Leviosa centered around a smartphone.

The concept was revolutionary: a phone that could spin, light up, and even fly—all under the magician’s complete control. To bring this vision to life, the team collaborated with Júlio Montoro, who developed a stunning routine and served as creative advisor throughout the project.

The result is a deeply deceptive yet highly practical illusion.

Everything is integrated into a lifelike-looking phone that works in conjunction with a special app (on the magician’s real phone). This gives you complete control over every moment of the act:

PHASE 1: A phone, placed face-up on the ground, slowly and mysteriously flips over on its own.

PHASE 2: You touch a spectator’s finger—immediately the flashlight turns on.

PHASE 3: As a stunning finale, the phone floats upward and flies straight into the magician’s hand.

Does the gimmick come with a specific phone case?
Yes. Leviosa Phone comes with a black custom case that is essential for the gimmick to work, due to its weight and balance. What you see in the trailer is exactly what you receive. The case cannot be exchanged for a different model.

I have a different iPhone model. Do you also sell a matching case for my device?
Since there are dozens of iPhone models, that’s not feasible.
However, there are very affordable and similar cases available online to match the gimmick’s appearance.
Note: you don’t need to use a case on your real phone to perform the illusion. Júlio Montoro performed the act more than 200 times with a completely different dark case—without anyone ever asking about it.

Why doesn’t the magician need to use an identical case?
Because the back of the real phone is never shown. As a result, the audience doesn’t notice any difference, making a matching case completely optional.

Does the Leviosa Phone make any noise?
In environments with background noise (music, voices, etc.), the sound isn’t an issue at all.
If you want to perform the trick in complete silence, there are subtle techniques to mask the motor noise, such as a soft “tch” or “whoosh.” This not only hides the mechanics but also enhances the magical moment ✨

Can I just make the phone fly without performing the entire routine?
Yes. Thanks to the Web App, you control the settings yourself. So you can choose to perform only the levitation effect—without the full routine.

How many times can I perform the trick before the battery runs out?
You can perform the illusion about 15 times on a single battery charge.
When the battery is almost empty, a red LED light will appear. Even after that, you can still perform the trick about 3 more times.

How is the battery charged? And is it replaceable?
Charging is done via a standard USB-C port—exactly where you charge your own phone.
The internal battery is also easy and quick to replace.

How do I activate the gimmick during the act?
By secretly pressing a button on the right side of the case during the performance. The gimmick vibrates briefly to indicate that it’s activated.

Does the Leviosa Phone’s screen light up?
No. But the screen is made of real glass (specially for this project), making it look 100% real. Place the Leviosa Phone next to a real phone and the difference is practically impossible to see.

I have an Android phone. Is there also an Android version of the Leviosa Phone?
No, and that’s not necessary. The back of your real phone is never shown.
Whether you use an Android or an iPhone: as long as you only show the screen, the illusion works perfectly.
