You show three cards, two of which have pennies and one has a gold coin printed on it. You tell them to keep track of the gold coin. You shuffle the cards and ask them where the gold coin is, but they keep getting the penny.

You then show them that the gold coin is actually on top, then in the middle, and finally at the bottom. The spectator, somewhat confused, says they just saw THREE gold coins and THREE pennies, so they think you’re cheating. You then honestly show three cards and remove one of the penny cards from the table, which should make it easier to track the gold coin.

You tell the spectator they have a 50/50 chance of finding the gold coin, while you shuffle the nickel and the gold coin card. You then ask them to point to the gold coin, but when both cards are turned over, they are in fact BLANK!

When the card is turned over on the table, it shows both the GOLD coin and BOTH pennies.

You can then show all three cards: two are now BLANK, and one has ALL the coins.
