The effect: Take a pack of cards, a marker, and some stickers out of your pocket. Have one of the participants sign a sticker with the marker. Now take the cards out of the box and show them on both sides. This is a normal deck where all the cards are different! So far, everything is normal and fair!

Now invite your participant to randomly choose a card from the deck. They can choose another one if they don’t like their choice, and there is absolutely no forcing involved. Just like on the stickers, the participant now signs the chosen card. The card is then placed back into the deck, and the deck is shuffled. No one knows where the card is now—not even you!

Without any form of manipulation, the entire deck is placed back into the box, and the box is closed. The box is now sealed with the signed sticker. You make it clear that everything has been done fairly and that manipulation is not possible. You give the participant the box and let them shake it… is the deck of cards inside? You also ask your participant if the sticker really seals the box. The participant confirms all of this.

You pick up the deck of cards and put it back in your pants pocket. You ask how long it would take to open the box, find the card, take the card out, and reseal the box with the sticker. Your audience says it must take at least a minute.

You now show your empty hand. You slowly reach into your pocket and ask the audience to count along to see how long it takes. Your hand barely goes into your pocket, and you quickly pull it back out with just one card between your fingers. Trust us: you have to see it to believe it!

Ask for the card the participant signed. And it is indeed the card you now have between your fingers. The signature confirms that it is the card!

But that’s not all. You now take the box out of your pocket and hand it to the participant. The box is still closed and the sticker is still intact! You ask the participant to shake it… the cards are still inside! You open the box and take all the cards out. One card is missing, and that’s the signed card.

Remember all the details below:

• There is no forcing!
• The card is signed by the spectator himself! No change or anything else!
• No manipulation! It seems impossible, and yet, the trick really works AUTOMATICALLY!
• The box is truly sealed with a sticker signed by the spectator—everything is clean!
• Your hand goes into your pocket and comes out immediately with the spectator’s card! It’s crazy but true!
• The reset is instant! No setup!
