From the creator of Socks

, Priceless

, and Nostalgia comes a very solid 5-10 minute routine for the stage or parlour.

Here’s what happens:

These days, the mentalist begins as follows: Advertising is everywhere. Does it still work? Or not?

Are we still influenced by it, or not really?

Cardvertisement

is a fun stand-up act in which you demonstrate that, hopefully, it does work. You draw attention to one card and only one card (it can be on the table, in a clip, inside a balloon, in your breast pocket, etc.)

Then you show various signs and let one or more members of the audience make choices (no forced choices).

  • Sir, tea or coffee?
  • Tea
  • I knew it. Now look at this sign—do you want the red circle or the black square?
  • Black square
  • Ah, so easy. People your age who drink tea usually go for the black square.

You show another board.

  • Black means you can choose between Spades or Clubs. You see that the spade symbol is much larger than the club symbol. Do you go with the obvious choice, or is it reverse psychology and you choose clubs? What will it be?
  • Clubs
  • Ah, you’re making this very easy for me.

You show another board.

  • Now, odd or even?
  • Odd
  • YES!
  • Ace, 3, 5, 7, 9, Jack, or King… which one do you choose?
  • 9
  • So black, Spades, odd 9—that makes the 9 of Spades.

The magician picks up the card that was visibly on the table with the clip, and it is indeed the nine of spades.

Cardvertisement doesn’t use forced choices and is very easy to perform. All 52 cards are possible. No fumbling. There’s nothing in your pockets. It’s right in front of your audience.

The card can be in so many places. Use a Kennedy box, a transparent box, a clip, a paperclip, your pocket, a balloon.

Cardvertisement is great for parlor or stage magic. Use it in mentalism or magic shows. It can also be used with items other than playing cards. These can be various products from your client, symbols, superheroes, etc.

Cardvertisement comes with: An elegant box 7 boards Velcro strip for the cards A carrying case In the video instructions, you’ll also learn Michel Huot’s H.i.P.S. Switch, a fantastic way to swap a card or note while everything remains clearly visible!

If you’re looking for a stunning stand-up routine, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by Cardvertisement.
