You place one hand behind your back before the trick begins.

Then they freely choose a card (no forced choice).

They shuffle the deck.

With just one hand, you cut through the deck, pull out a random card, and ask if it’s their card.

IT ISN’T…

and you say…

“Ik ben veel beter in trucs met twee handen.”

As you slowly turn around, you see that the hand that was behind your back the whole time is now holding their card.

The card can even be signed.

IN THIS PROJECT YOU WILL LEARN:

  • The one-handed routine
  • The NSFW reveal
  • The Deck Vanish version
  • The TV-clean version

Single-handed
is just as fun to perform as it is to watch.

Spectators often expect sleight of hand or that the hand is faster than the eye. By performing this trick with one hand, you play into that expectation and create a more impossible reveal.

The gimmicked deck ensures it feels free and loose, but you’re always in control.

FAQs

CAN THEY SHUFFLE? OVERHAND OR RIFFLE?
Both. We recommend overhand—but honestly, it depends on the spectator’s skill level. At the Blackpool Magic Convention, G performed this all day for magicians—so they all knew the riffle shuffles and insisted on them, which also worked.

On the street, people often did a sloppy (but thorough) overhand shuffle. Which, in our opinion, is better.

HOW HARD IS IT TO PERFORM?

The TV-friendly version taught in the project is clean and untraceable—but it’s also almost self-working. If you’re new to magic or don’t have confidence in your skills, you can use the gimmicked deck to perform that version… Done.

If you want to perform the signed card (main routine), it involves some sleight of hand, but it’s as simple as ‘een break krijgen’.

A message from Geraint Clarke…

“I came up with this routine after being inspired by the work of Justin Miller, Ben Earl, and René Lavand.

During a conversation with Duane Williams, we tried to eliminate the weaknesses of using a certain gimmicked deck and came up with this trick together.

It was originally intended to ‘beledigen’ our friends in Blackpool with a funny (NSFW) reveal—calling them a ***t.

But the method was actually solid and turned into a great card trick.

The last thing I released was exactly a year ago—so I don’t rush out content just to make a quick buck. This is a trick I use, have used, and will always use—so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.”
