Effect 1 – The Card of the Spirits

A spectator is given a standard deck of cards and is allowed to lay the cards face up on the table one by one. She stops at any card she chooses. You then show a transparent plastic bag containing a blank piece of paper and a small Ouija board card. The spectator signs the piece of paper, and you place it in the bag under the Ouija board. The spectator holds onto this bag.

You show an old key and place it on top of the Ouija board. You begin asking questions about the chosen card. Without anyone touching the key, it begins to move and gives answers: first the suit, then the type, and finally the value of the chosen card.

But that’s not all: you turn the Ouija board over, and on the back is exactly the chosen card!
Finally, you say: “Als we echt de geesten hebben opgeroepen, moeten ze een bericht hebben achtergelaten.” The piece of paper, still bearing her signature, now shows exactly the chosen card!

Effect 2 – The Key and the ESP Symbols

You show an ESP deck and place one of each symbol face up on the table. The spectator freely chooses a card from the rest of the deck. You place an old key on top of the face-down card. As you touch each symbol on the table, the key suddenly starts to move toward a specific symbol (for example, the circle). When the spectator turns over her chosen card, it turns out to be exactly the same symbol!
