“This is the cleanest and easiest Piece by Piece restoration I’ve ever seen and the final visual is INSANE!” – Brent Braun
“This is special Fx performed in front of your face. The last piece is pure genius and will melt their brain. I saw Steve perform this several times and was even more baffled. This is going to be a crowd pleaser.” – Christophe Fouquet
Corner Piece by Steve Langston & Sean Ridgeway is without a doubt the most mind-blowing torn-and-restored card routine you’ll ever see. Not only is a signed card torn into pieces and restored, but one of those pieces magically moves back into place—completely visible to your audience. This effect gives you the feeling that you have control over matter itself. ✨
Here’s how the routine works:
A playing card is torn into four separate pieces. One by one, the pieces are held together, with the torn edges immediately fusing together. The last piece is placed slightly too high and appears to be clearly fused incorrectly. And then the impossible happens: it visibly slides down along the edge of the card until it falls exactly into place—whereupon the last tear edge repairs itself. The card can be handed out for inspection immediately afterward.
Corner Piece takes the classic ‘piece-by-piece torn and restored’ plot to the next level. The included gimmicks are durable and make the stunning visual ending possible, in which the last piece magically positions itself. Steve and Sean have perfected the effect down to the last detail, so that every restoration not only proceeds flawlessly but also optimally supports you as a performer.
This routine has been extensively tested over many years in live performances and is a robust part of their professional repertoire. Corner Piece is the kind of effect your audience will be talking about for a long time to come.
