You start by asking the spectator a few simple questions to fully understand how they think. You ask them to imagine a deck of cards and shuffle it in their mind to a completely random order. Then they imagine playing a simple game of cutting to the highest card. As they imagine they’ve cut the deck, ask the spectator which card they cut to. Now that you know which card they imagined cutting to, you can read their minds by pulling out a double-sided Poker Guide playing card and asking them to think of just any hand on the card. While they focus on the poker hands on the Poker Guide card, you then place a small red sticker on the other side of the card to lock in your guess about which hand the spectator is thinking of. After you’ve locked in your guess, the spectator names the hand they were thinking of. You then flip the card over and show that you’ve perfectly guessed the exact hand they were just thinking of! No loopholes and nothing is written down in advance—you get it right every single time!
