The magician shows a small wooden tube, a small wooden sword, and a steel ball. The tube has a slot in the middle through which the sword can pass, effectively splitting the tube in two. The sword is inserted through the slot in the tube, and the ball is dropped into the tube from above. It is clearly visible that the sword does not allow the ball to pass through. With a few magical gestures, the performer makes the ball pass through the solid sword and fall down.
