A classic sucker trick with an impossible ending. The silk cloth turns into an egg, the secret is revealed… but the egg is real, and the cloth reappears from the magician’s forehead. A powerful routine, explained by Michael Ammar.
One of the best sucker tricks in modern magic.
This effect was even performed by the legendary Lance Burton in one of his television specials—clear proof of the impact and quality of this routine.
EFFECT – The magician shows a red handkerchief and announces that a miracle is about to happen. Slowly and very deliberately, he pushes the handkerchief into his left hand… whereupon it inexplicably transforms into an egg.
The secret seems immediately obvious: it is a hollow white egg. With a relaxed, playful demeanor, the magician then demonstrates step by step how the handkerchief is hidden inside the egg.
But just when the audience thinks they’ve figured it all out, the real surprise begins: the magician removes the hole from the egg, places it on his forehead, cracks the egg open—and thereby proves that it is a real egg. As the finale of this impossible routine, he pulls the vanished handkerchief out of the hole now on his forehead, leaving the audience completely baffled.
A brilliant routine that perfectly combines comedy, surprise, and an impossible finale.
