Meet Olson’s Closer
, the incredibly powerful, multi-phase card effect, co-produced with American magician Erick Olson.
The magician begins by giving two prediction cards to the audience to keep. He then displays a thoroughly shuffled deck of cards, invites a spectator to freely select and memorize a card, return it to the deck, and shuffle the deck.
He immediately reads the spectator’s mind to reveal the chosen card: the Ace of Spades. In the next moment, he locates not only the Ace of Spades, but also the Aces of the three other suits.
The sequence continues as he produces additional Spade face cards and number cards: 10, Jack, Queen, and King. Then, in a flash, the remaining Spades from 2 through 7 also appear.
Only the 8 and 9 of Spades are missing. The magician directs attention to the prediction cards the audience has been holding since the beginning. When these are turned over, they turn out to be exactly the missing Spades.
For the finale, with a snap of the fingers, the entire previously disordered stack instantly restores itself to the impeccable, factory-ordered stack of a brand-new deck of cards.
